By: Ief van Gompel – In times of staff shortages, finding and retaining committed employees is a major challenge for swimming pools. Sport Beerse is also experiencing this, but by creating a positive working atmosphere and giving employees a sense of ownership, the swimming pool has a low staff turnover. New team members quickly feel at home, and the energy of the team rubs off on the visitor experience. For Ief van Gompel, who has been with Sport Beerse since 2012, employees are the heart of the organization. He strives to create a working environment in which employees feel valued and committed. At Sport Beerse, team members are given the space to contribute ideas and actively contribute to the atmosphere and image of the swimming pool.
In this session, Ief shares concrete strategies and insights for swimming pool managers and policymakers to strengthen staff retention and job satisfaction, so that employees become a driving force in the success of the organization. He explains how Sport Beerse attracts staff and how each team member plays an active role in the success of the organization. Ief shows how a motivated and satisfied team can make a lasting difference, both for the employees themselves and for the swimming pool and its visitors.
